Some of you folks really need to learn how to give better directions. Compass direction and distance from a known visible landmark. Street names and landmarks are even better so a person can map it.
My favorite is "It's on the same road as Super Baru." or "Take the road that Super Baru is on and..." Super Baru occupies one entire city block thus fronting four (4) different and distinct streets!
Linda, We just had ours renewed and we used the foto shop by the ice cream store in Boquete near the gyro resturant. Be sure they use the white background.
They satisfied my U.S. Government and not only that but you are giving business to a local merchant and saving yourself a trip into David. My adopted daughter had her Passport photo taken there in 2012 and no problem either. However, suit yourself.
That is correct. He's using an old photo booth. Arrocha is good for U.S. pics, Canucks are a different size.

Thanks. We had a passport photo taken at Arrocha in Panama City some years ago and they were fine.

Okay. Thanks to all. This will give us something to work with. We are going We'd. To David to meet with the Embassy people for passport renewal. I'm eternally grateful!
Linda: on the back street of the Fire Station and just up from the National Police Station on the lot below the Restaraunt is a little casa in the back. Just drive into the lot and the Photo Studio is right there. I had my U.S. Passport photo taken there last November. The guy who takes the photos (I forgot his name) has been taking passport, school class, wedding, etc... photos for years. Ready immediately and no trip to David necessary.
Okay, I'm not quite following you. You're talking the street between the SoCal security clinic and the Bomberos, correct? Okay go down pass the Police Station . This is where I get lost. Sorry.

There was discussion of this in December (that I found by using "Search Boquete Panama" above.) See

Note that two posters indicate that the quality of photos at the place behind Baru aren't sufficient to satisfy the U.S. government.
