Downtown has few choices,,cocos motel is the only one i know of,,on the left before town,,  cheap,very simple    , A very nice place is past town a few miles called Hooked on Panama,,,pool, oceanfront..fresh fish,,,sometimes sushi,,first class,,

Hooked on Panama is a beautiful fishing resort. Wonderful accommodations and good food. You don't need to fish to stay there, but check availability first.

It is about 30 minutes beyond Puerto past the Petro facility. Take your passport to get through security.
