Recommended Vehicles for use in Boquete Area

We're interested in your recommendations for best vehicles to own in Boquete.  We plan to do some exploring, but no serious off-road 4x4ing.   Looking for something dependable.  Also, would be interested in your opinions regarding pros and cons of owning a diesel vs. a gas vehicle.

To everyone who took the time to respond to our question about recommended vehicles for use in Boquete - Thank you very much !  We are now working with Keith Woolford to secure a Honda CR-V and we really appreciate all your helpful information and advice.

We bought a used 2013 Honda CR-V last year and it’s been great around here. It’s all wheel drive and believe me I’m glad of that because we’ve been in some tough spots. We paid $18,000 for it and are selling it for $16,000. It’s in great condition. If you’re interested I can send you pics

A safe vehicle that has a little more ground clearance.

I would recommend the Suzuki Jimny 4x4 automatic. 1300 cc very strong, low maintenance cost and will tackle all rough roads/large pot holes.It has 2 doors and 1 large one at the back. 4 adults will fit. Very low gas consumption. We had one in St. Lucia (Caribbean) for 9 years.
