Bjorn, I agree. Okay, when we were young and immortal, we still had responsibity. Young people today seem to feel somehow some mysterious force will protect them from everything. The very idea that they could not use their cell phones is beyond their comprehension. Reality is a cruel teacher.

there's no cell coverage on about 80% of the path up, so unless the GPS locator can send out a distress signal to a satellite- no dice. Most gps trackers use GPRS on the GSM (cellular) network.
