One word "Consistency" Boquete restaurants always seem to lack it! We need good food, good service, good atmosphere and fair prices and it needs consistency . Good Luck.
Oh yes...of course, there is what was most recently N22, before that Parmeseano's. It had a kitchen, but not sure if the owner took it with him. Small indoor space and nice terrace. Problem is...NO parking except at night when Sugar n Spice and the car wash is not open.
It's not a restaurant...yet, but the place with the green front that used to be a tour operator...I think it was called Explora Ya is now vacant and is right across from Los Establos and Big Daddy's. Great location, but just empty space...you would have to put in kitchen.
Thank you for your input, Keith. We have been in Chiriqui for appx 10 years. We know the market very well and plan to offer something that no one in Boquete offers. Our prices will be fair and the atmosphere will be nice. When we secure our spot and open we hope that you will stop by and let us know what you think. Have a great weekend.
Go and speak to the people who are building the new strip place across from Todo a dollar. From the looks of the pictures, there will be rental spaces available. There is also an "open Air' place going in just down from the old Deli Baru.....from what I hear, there will be rental spaces for restaurants there too.
Be careful. There are sixty or seventy restaurants in Boquete. Several shopping centers are about to (theoretically) begin construction.
If you are competitive on price you may survive.
There is a new nice restaurant opposite Milly's hair dressing parlour. They serve a various Panamanian meals for 4.50. A glass of wine is $ 3.- . Imported grilled large sirloin $ 25.-.
Less expats are eating outdoors. The competition is huge.

There are far more opportunities for rentals in Boquete than there are clients for restaurants.
imo, the town is saturated now with eating establishments, particularly at the upper end.
How much market research and study have you done here?
absolutely

There is a place that used to be the Pacific Deli and was very popular. But it was just south of San Francisco Plaza....not downtown.
