When buying meat where someone behind the counter weighs it and wraps it up take a look at the price on the package when they hand it to you. This morning I asked for a kilo of the 'jueso rojo' soup bones because my dog loves them. Price listed at 48 cents a lb. I should have paid a buck. When I got home and opened the package I noticed that although I got the soup bones I'd been charged $5.98 and the package was labelled 'short ribs.' Too late now. Not going to go all the way back to Plaza Terronal from Boqueron, but I'll definitely be on guard the next time I shop there.

The accuracy of that reply would have been spot on minus the final three words.

GBSD, wow that is the best likeness I have seen of you over a steak since Argentina.
In most of the stores they weigh the items where one can view the scales. The electronic scales have the name of the item, the weight, price per lb or kilo and the total cost. This type of error could occur anywhere. Ever Vigilant.
Enjoy the ribs, this might have been a very simple error in communication. Especially if your Spanish is not good. The guy behind the counter does not get a commission on how much he sells to you.
