I have a rough gravel road leading to my house, about 0.4 k. I don't want to pave it, but I want to know how much it would cost to grade it and put down fine gravel (rapillo?) that would make a nice road that wouldn't wash away and be awful. Is there anybody who builds roads like that?

I think that kind of work is done with a retro. Unless you want to go for an actual road grader (I've not seen one here in Boquete)
Retro - Backhoe
about $30/hour
Gravel from either Super Ivan or Dorado
One might ask the name of a suitable company at the city council. Anyway 400 meters is quite a job.
Or maybe MOP would know somebody? I just thought about them. It is probably about 300 meters. The top part is paved with two concrete pads, but it is still quite a job, and it is downhill.
I saw yesterday a truck of IVAN in Boquete full of gravel.
For all my construction and handyman needs, I call Antonio 6943-2621. If he does not do it, he certainly knows who does and gets it done and that is key to me... again I am partial to him, but he's never let me down. Speaks fluent English and is very fair with his pricing.
You can send him a whatsapp.
Thanks Olga. I will call him.
