Road to Boquete (New)

Is the new road opened all the way to Boquete?  Or will it be best to go the old route?

They are one and the same. It is still under construction but open to traffic with various stops and detours.

I just returned home from David, and they are routing you on part of the new road in Dolega, but you don't have any choices, so just "follow the leader".

If you have not been on the road before while undergoing construction, try to drive it during daylight if at all possible.  It has many crossovers which can be confusing in the dark.  You are not always sure what side you should be driving on.  And the guy on the other side may not know either.
