Hello, I am new here and enjoying all the information that I am finding!

We are planning a move to Boquete.  We are wondering about school for our grandchildren ages three and ten.

Is anyone there familiar with the K12 International Curriculum?  It is an online virtual school that I have found and it sounds like it may be good.

Would also like to hear about experiences that residents have had with the Panamanian schools.

Derek, What are the ages of your children?  Do they use an on-line black board.  Many on-line systems, even the really good, really expensive ones do not provide a good visual for science and math, which tend to be more hands on.  Thanks, Abby  P.S. I'm surprised there haven't been a lot of responses to this question from people who have children here.  Maybe people don't want to say in a public forum what they think about Panama schools.  I hope you get some private messages about this.  Put in the search term "schools" and you will find old threads here with a lot of discussion.

Thank you for your reply.  I have visited the website for the school.  Please tell me  a bit more....how many students?  Who are the teachers and what are their qualifications?  Please advise as to when the school year begins and what the enrollment fees are.  Answers to these questions and any other information that you can provide will be very appreciated.

 

I would also welcome any input from parents whose children are attending the Academia.
