dollar is great...two weeks ago when I was in Pereira/ Santa Rosa they cried because dollar was high...3,150 pesos to a dollar...lovely place , beautiful, and inexpensive.//Panama looked very expensive coming from there....for instance..out on town , two cups of coffee plus a big piece of cake $1.65....my hotel room including brkfst was $14.38 / night , nice new hotel....dinner for 3 . filet mignon plus 2 steaks , one glass red wine , two lemonades..$24.50...the Termales de Santa Rosa has beautiful big waterfall....and I bought 5 bags of 1 Lb coffees, plus 2 half pounders , total $15.00...but flying in to Tocumen after , the X ray machine operator was curious about those packages! lol

Expect a complete scanning of your baggage when coming to Panama from Colombia.
Roger , it was the exact same scanning as on my trips from US to Colombia.....but when I told them the packages were coffee rthey were dumbfounded..."bringing offee to Panama"? ...but , No it was for further trip to US , together with Panama coffee! lol

good...I was happily surprised when there.....not only the country side .....very nice people , just like in Panama...but I also now have a new GF from there! that was the main reason to go there....
