Well here I am once again doing the 90day exodus to obtain a stamp in my passport so I can drive. As the police man told me 90days you can drive 180 days you can walk.now I have done this often over the last 10years and I really do need to get the right papers etc.Its my own fault I know.
Should you be in the same predicament Be aware that the boys on the borders are alot more strict on the required documents and times.Yes there are some exceptions and maybe you will lucky on the day but don't bet on it.we crossed at Rio sereno on Friday and it's Monday morning now and we will head to the border soon. Our Panamanian immigration officer was friendly and helpful but made it very clear 72hours not70or57 .And a return ticket to your country of origin.thank God Gareth used his
UK passport. Now I know it sounds Draconian but it's the law and he was informing us of it.The Costa Rican official told us that they get many expats turned back ,having to stay another night out.so just be aware that the borders are getting tougher to cross.I now have to start the paperwork to get the right visa.hope to get back into Panama today.

Good informative post Steven. It sounds like they are cracking down and starting to enforce the laws more. I hope you get your visa.
