It is my understanding that the new store is actually Deli Baru, which will be moving from its present location on the main street.

Parking isn't any better at the current location.

  Given the quality of Romero's these days here in Boquete... if Baru is what I think it will be... they may need offsite parking in David.

Glen... the climate is perfect, the views are astounding, the pressures of advanced civilization is non existent, the crime rate is minimal...unless you deal with a lawyer that is..(Just joking ...don't sue me.) The air is pure, the water is plentiful (too much in the rainy season)... the cost of living is low... the local people are basically nice, poor and long suffering. The relatively few wealthy Panamanians live in another world and creating Karma for a future revolution... But it's very relaxing not having to compete. Many (not all) of the gringos here come down to die or hide their social deficiences in another culture and language while surrounded by beauty to occupy those lonely moments. But then I have met a few GREAT gringos down here who I may never have met in my own country. The list of negatives about Boquete and Panama I could mention but would be a bummer right now.... (Every place has pluses and minuses) But going back to America has its attraction now... and it seems there are still enough Americans there who seem to be waking up from both the Left and the Right. I love America but I feel like it has been an unfaithful and abusive wife to us over the last 7-8 years...maybe under Bush too... . I have a feeling things are changing. But you know that little pilot light in the human soul...

and when it does open, where are you going to park? In one of a handful of parking spaces? Typical planning here. And would it be too much to ask Romero's to buy the empty lot next to their store here to provide shoppers with parking. And what ever happened to a new Martinelli's Super 99 store that was supposed to open in alto-boquete several years ago?
