I'm considering moving to Panama, does this happen often.  It's kinda scary.  I have heard that this guy has sold one house 3 times and no one has closed on it, he just pockets the money.  Is this Thurston Beadle the only one to watch out for or are there more.

`tis the new wild west....beware of snake oil vendors....they are everywhere..in Panama also....check with locals , expats and Panamanians before buying from unknowns...just my 0.02

very little , unless you find good atty, but they are best to be used up front....to verify, not after the fact after a scam....best resource is locals , expats and Panamanians before buying

I personally have not had the pleasure of using one, but have been advised to use one by the time I buy a house, advised by locals....which I greatly appreciate....which is positive advice....I do NOT reply to every post on here, maybe you see my name often as you might go to the same posts...if not I suggest an elementary math course.

Now I am hearing that the bank is working with Mr. Beadle to foreclose and keep anyone from getting their money back from his scam.

I also got some info about Montains del Caldera that they are having major problems.  Wow, is it safe to move here?
