I will be arriving this Sunday evening, 7/26 for a few days of exploration with hopes to move soon. I am flying into David on the evening flight arriving at 6:34. What are my options for transportation on Sunday evening to Boquete? Should I arrange it before I leave home?

Call Jorge and Mitzi. They have a big van. I had some people coming in the beginning of this month and the flight from PC was delayed for 3 hours. They waited patiently for their fare to arrive. Very nice people and recommended highly.

Yes Cindy, I would make prior arrangements. I believe that there is a fellow on Ning by the name of Ross that can do this. Other people have posted comments on cabbies that they trust. I've seem some comments. I would never advise a single woman to get into a cab at night unless the cabbie is known prior. I've had some cabbies in Panama City take me into the most scary neighborhoods and then stop/demand $10. more for the ride. I've had some cabbies stop on a street corner and to talk to some friends and of course his friends had to see who his passenter was (also in an undesireable neighborhood). I know a girl that missed the last bus from David to Boquete and took a cab who made a detour in Dolega ... (I won't go there).
Also, another consideration, we are in the rainy season now and sometimes the plane from PTY doesn't leave on time due to weather conditions in David. Happened to me last time i flew a few months ago. The plane landed at 10:30 p.m. Stay in touch with your ride if that happens to let him/her of your delay.
