Visiting Boquete

We are visiting Boquete as we are thinking of retiring to Panama. We will be in the area May 30 thru June 2 or possible longer, we have left our departure date open. We would love to hear first hand experiences on the move to Panama and the pluses and minuses. Any advice to share would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

How do you like Boquete?
Another place to meet locals here is at" Amigos" for lunch. They have the "typical Panamanian" lunch ---very good for under $3.00.
Jim goes down every morning for coffee and conversation.
Let us know if you have any questions while you are here...we were grateful when others helped us when we were first here.

Boquete is interesting. We have eaten at Isle Verde where we are staying (breakfast only), the Boquete Bistro, (lunch & dinner) and went for the jazz on Saturday. Ate at El Oasis and Valle Escondias (?). We really have enjoyed our stay here but are getting a little frustrated on the housing front. Any suggestions? How long did it take for you to make up your mind on where to live? Who did you use for a lawyer and did you have any problems? Thanks in advance for your help. Tom & Mary

It's funny, when we were looking, the moment I saw the view, I knew it was the house for us.
Also, our lawyer was recommended to us and she has a good reputation. Her office is in David and her husband is a Dr. at the hospital there. We know others that use her also.
If it's OK with you, let me know if you want to get together because sometimes it's better to talk in person.
