While in Volcan today visited Burricos mexican restaurant....Easy to find and a great place. The owner is Mexican and his wife is Panamanian. Both are bilingual and very pleasant. The service was excellant and the restaurant is very clean. I had fajitas with chicken and my wife had tacos. This was by far the best Mexican food we had in our 6 years in Panama. The prices were reasonable...Give them a try.....

El Rey in David has them sometimes as well as tostada shells. We keep them in the freezer to keep them from getting stale, which they do quite soon.
Thank you Debbie and Walter!
Bob can you give directions to Mama Jennys?
Neil, coming into Volcan take the right turn at Romeros to Cerro Punta, keep going through Cerro Punta past the large dairy farm on your right, there will be a small bridge at the bottom of the hill, take the right fork and s Orquideas will be on your right about 1/2 km.......if you kept going over the bridge and took the left fork you would go to Los Quetzales and 'Guadalupe......you might want to give them a call at 7712687......www.lasorquideaspanama.com........enjoy
Yep, we agree that Jaime and his wife have a great Mexican restaurant and we eat there often, and don't forget those of you who come over Volcan way and don't know about Mama Jenny's chinese restaurant at Las Orquideas in Cerro Punta, some of the best authentic chinese food you can find.....bring your sweaters its chilly in Cerro Punta most of the time......
We went there for lunch today: Delicious, fish tacos exceptional, perfectly cooked fish and I will probably now buy these every time I go to Volcan. We ordered a lot of food from across the Mexican menu and fruit smoothies, everyone was happy. Three of us ate for the price of one in Boquete (Boquete prices 10 yrs ago for Mexican) and will definitely be back! A great find and owners/staff attentive, pleasant and on the ball.
