Permalink Reply by Goodbye San Diego on August 13, 2012 at 1:44pm There is a pretty good selection at PriceSmart. They spin balance and install for free at their shop around the side.
Permalink Reply by Penny Barrett on August 13, 2012 at 4:34pm I''ve bought two full sets of tires at the Frontera. Saved about $100 ($25/tire) each time.
Permalink Reply by Johnny Sunshine on August 13, 2012 at 5:13pm Go to Breman. Its a full service Auto ServiceCcenter. As your going to the airport in David the same street that Super 99 and McDonald's is on. Go on down maybe 4-5 blocks its on the right and on a corner.

Permalink Reply by Penny Barrett on August 15, 2012 at 11:37am Yes--full service, I have bought full sets of tires at 2 different places at the frontera. I'm sure there are more. Turn left towards Puerto Armeulles. One place is on the right side of the street and the owner speaks English. 2nd place is a little further down on the left side of the street but no English when I was there.
Before the Martinelli tyranny of the new cash registers they would never charge sales tax at the frontera which saved you 7% immediately. Things are probally different now unless you go on the CR side of the border.
