About two weeks ago we went to the MIDA at Conception. They did have Almond trees but none of the others. We had previously bought breadfruit trees and other species including lemoncillo to use for wind breaks. . They are supposed to have avocatos on August 8th. On our last trip we bought about 40 trees for $0.60 each. All of the trees that we have bought there have done well.
Bring someone who speaks good Spanish and get a Spanish list of all of the trees that you may want. If you need directions email nilsenalan@aol.com.
There are two other places where we have bought trees but they were mostly in the $3.00 to $5.00 each range.
Both are on the right hand side going to David. The first is about half way to Dolega. It is simply a frame bamboo and plastic green house. It is set back somewhat from the road and is fenced in. They had mango, Valencia oranges, lemons (The bumpy kind) limes and a few others.
The second is just before you get to Dolega. It has a sign "Two Rivers". Last week we got "butter" avacatos and papaya from her.

Kiwi's are male and female so you need one of each to get fruit.
Kiwi grows on a vine, not a tree. It is not easy to germinate from seed.
And you might get the vine to grow but it will probably not set fruit.
Hi Marcela,
How much are you asking?
