So I was planning another trip to Panama at the very beginning of May for two weeks. Will this be in the 'Winter" or "Summer"? What kind of weather can I expect in Boquete at that time of year? Will it be the same in Boca Chica, Pedesi ,El Valle and Coranado? I thought that it was 'Summer' through May - am I wrong(again)?
Thanks
Mike

Can't fool the birds....just open your ears and listen they are singing like crazy. Why? Because its spring! And the whole area will soon be lush, green and beautiful again! In five years here the most days in a row that we have seen it rain continuously has be 4. Granted it rains a part of most days here on out but most too also have blue sky and sun shine. Doesn't get much better!
We much prefer the rainy season and hate the hot, dry, windy conditions of the dry season that turns the whole area brown and scorched and the leaves fall from the trees. That sounds like winter to me!

May and October are usually the rainiest months in Boquete. It is common to have 30 inches of rain those months, though it varies each year. If you want to look at rainfall by the month, go to this link.

If you're thinking of moving here, it's a good idea to come during the rainy months to see if you like it, because it rains about 8 months of the year (not continuously of course - there are "sun breaks" as they called them in Seattle).
