Today, from first hand experience, I found NO emergency care available for dogs on weekends after lunch time. NO veterinarian who would stay past 12 o'clock, NO veterinarian's office that could give adequate directions to their office (if you could get there before 12 o'clock).
My feelings: I&^^%$#**&&^^%%%!!!
Do the vets only want our money Monday - Friday? Obviously, if there is one out there who cares about a dog/cat/other who needs professional help after hours, I couldn't find one or anyone who knew of one.
Please, tell me, do you have a Vet who cares?

We are very fortunate to have Kristine Berg in the area. Although she is not a trained vet, Kris is an intelligent, caring person who breeds, trains, boards, and lives with dogs 24/7. She obviously has a lot of canine knowledge and also excellent veterinary contacts, both local and international, whom she consults with. Kudos to Kris and Beth for helping. Hope the pup's OK.
Please contact Beverly Elizabeth Guerra, she has bred Mini Schnauzers. She is a friend of mine and member of this group. Hope this helps...

Hi Cinthia,
Dra. Chelly is usually available if she is in town but she is traveling overseas and will not be back until after the clinic. Many are missing her absence.
It's a terrible experience! I am so sorry.
ANAM has nothing to do with what your problem was. They couldn't have helped you.
Please get the vet list for future emergencies. Get it at FADAB.org or search this site. It has been posted several times. Dr. Gomez is behind the Romero's where the angled road comes into Obaldia. It is called Clinica Don Henry. There are 24 hour emergency vets on the list. Dr. Claudio Garcia is one of them.
In an emergency you can call the mobile vet, Cesar, also 24 hours: 6908-3833 (English and Spanish)
Dr. Gomez moved quiet a while ago: you pass the back of Romero. Three blocks down you see at the right a hotel pass it - enter street to the left. Two blocks down on the right is Gomez. Right across this Chinese restaurant Imperium or something like this.
Yes she did:
Cynthia, if you are thinking of ANAM, the government agency, it is not on call to respond to animal emergencies.
Perhaps if you would reveal exactly what the situation is that has distressed you, people could be more helpful about potential options.
Yes, Bonnie, that is the organization I was trying to remember. Thank you.
Dra. Chely is on vacation, that's why "no answer".
