What is needed for for border crossing

Will be planning on border crossing soon to CR and need to know whats needed. I know a ticket and money is required. But smaller things e.g passport copies but not sure. And why? Any hassle free way of crossing? Anything to be aware of?

Less than 5m. Staying approx a wk.

Thanks. I did speak to immigration just in case. They said it shouldn't be a problem, I shouldn't run into one. But never know how they are.

Ask the customs official when you are checking out, how long you have to stay out, since you are less than 5 months here. However I doubt that you can return when you are staying out for less than 30 days, they will let you in. The stamps into Panama for Americans, Canadians and Europeans are for 6 months. You might go to Immigration in David (shopping mall next to Pricesmart) and ask only for information. I think that will be the best.

Ok depends on how long yoi have stayed in Panama, there are now changes on you time in CR before you can come back in. 3 day rule no longer applies. $500 cash or a recent bank and cc statements and a return ticket home within 6 months, bags are seldom checked
