History clearly shows that the Panama Canal was considered a vital strategic target against North America. Those motivations for an attack have long since dissipated but the Canal remains and could still be looked upon as a legitimate target for future attacks by those who consider America (and her interests) as an evil empire that needs to be dismantled. Very interesting! Was not aware of either one of those plans.........But Caribbean west side?? That kinda threw me..........Did he just mean the western part of the Caribbean?
I doubt it....China needs that canal too and largely controls the loading/off loading facilities on both sides last time I looked.....Plus they only need to wait until it exits the canal to target it..........but of course it would be a sure thing exposed in the canal.........point taken.........in any case doesnt need to be a nuke.......

The canal is probably one of the most surveyed and protected structures outside the U.S., due to its strategic importance to the U.S., both for trade and military...
