Day Hikes and Stayovers for 2013:
1. Quetzale Trail beginning in Boquete staying the night in Guadalupe, hiking back the next day.
2. Potrerillos begin in Boquete Day trip.
3. Santa Fe in Veraguas, overnight stay.
Explore. Dream. Discover.
The group leader is Jere McCormick. I will take you on some of the most beautiful back road trails Boquete has to offer. Some trails are easy, some are at a steep incline, other trails are just rugged hikingsuch as; over tree stumps, or in the rainforest, that never seem to dry out. I highly recommend wearing hiking boots for these hikes.
Did you know there are over 30 trails to hike in the Boquete area? To this day we are exploring new trails. So, hike off the beaten path and get to know the true Boquete.
Also if, you are interested in taking amazing photos, off the beaten path, I can take you on a separate walk at a much slower pace. Let me know in advance.
Are you able to walk 2.5 miles or 4 km in one hour on a sometimes steep incline? All of our walks or hikes in Boquete are always on an incline. This is Boquete with hilly terrain.
Saturday's walk only lasts for two and half hours more or less we meet at different at 8:00a.m..
Thursday's hikes are longer and at times on rough terrain up to three and half hours sometimes five. We meet at 8:30a.m. at different locations. A hiking stick is recommended and hiking boots for all hikes.
Send me an email if you are interested in joining us on a morning hike.

Comment by Jere Chica on March 12, 2013 at 5:50pm Hiked with the group to Potreillos last Thursday. It was about seven hours of hiking round trip beginning in Palmira Abajo at 8 a.m. to Potreillos Arriba, then back to Palmira at 4:30 p.m. YIKES! But we made it, long, hot in the sun, cool wind cooling me off, felt winded sometimes, very thirsty towards the end. The next day no aches, practiced yoga to get the joints back into place, and I felt GREAT. You gotta love it to be able to do it!

Comment by Jere Chica on February 4, 2013 at 7:01pm Last Thursday, we hiked into the Quetzale Trail for over 4 hours. In two weeks will be hiking the whole trail. FYI about the trail - it has been kept up, making hiking very desirable.

Comment by Jere Chica on January 26, 2013 at 5:41pm Last Thursday, we had a fantastic on the Volcan Baru trail. We did all the way, but we did hike past the sheep farm. A beautiful trail, hiking over 6000 ft. the trail has small stones a dirt trail but after the sheep farm the stones become larger and the trail narrows. About 12 of hiked on this trail. Hope you can join us one day! Stay fit by hiking on Boquete's off the beaten path.
