It would be nice to document Boquete as it is. I am in awe of the beauty here. The only funny thing I've seen, so far, is how silly some of the tourists look, including myself. I would enjoy brainstorming the possibilities.

Had had some behind the scenes experiences as an adult and in front, when I was a child.  Have enjoyed indy movies all my life and know that film is a powerful medium.  I willo be in Boquete from Dec. to May, 2012.

Hi there, I recently moved here and I would love to help  out, join, contribute whatever.  I graduated with my degree from BCIT in Vancouver Canada for radio communications.  What this means, essentially, is that I spent two years behind a sound board.  I have a great ear and can help with any sort of sound editing and post production.  I have some (albeit very limited) experience with some video editing, but my main experience is with sound editing and manipulation.  I have my own copy of Adobe Audition Pro and can work from my own computer, the program is great and it cna manipulate any sort of sound file into any other sort of sound file, meaning i can work with RAW, mp3, WAV etc... If you need anything, just hit me up on here and we can chat about it.  Thanks.

Hi Jim,

Nice offer! I'm putting together a shoot and I wonder if you'd be interested in participating and having your space used or our location. The production is a short horror film, and would take about three days, a few hours each production day, to shoot including one evening. If you're interested let me know where you're house is located so I can take a look to see if might work.

I've got a nice little meeting area at my house if anyone would like to continue having gatherings. Probably enough room for 10 to 12 folks to get together and talk film and movies and videos, whether they be for hobby purposes or for some commercial venture.......e-mail me at panamajames@gmail.com I only got to one of the BCP meetings before they shut them down and it was great.........Jim

We are now using 'Google Groups/Boquete Film Arts' as our main communication tool. Please log on for information concerning the groups activities, production opportunities and schedules. You do not have to have gmail or be a Google subscriber. We will continue to meet every Friday at 10:30 at BCP.

Don't forget to tell your film making friends to come to the first meeting on Friday, Aug. 20, 10:30 at the BCP in Boquete, on the right just over the bridge. Although not many people have signed up for the club on this site, I've had a number of calls expessing interest. We'll discuss what the mission and goals for the club are and I'll lead a basic film making 101 and film festival discussion based on my experience with my production company in California. Hope to see you and your friends at the meeting. Jay
