I am interested in renting a newer villa-type residence in the Boquete area with either a fenced in yard (or fenced in-area) as I have 2 well-trained and well-mannered female labrador retrievers that will accompany me (pool or close proximity to a river would be nice). I intend to stay/rent for as long as it takes me to find and buy land either with an existing house or to build one and would be willing to sign a 6-month lease with options to renew or a monthly rental agreement (will pay more to in order to give me the flexibility to move, allowing me to experience different areas around Boquete). Amount of rent I'd be willing to pay would be relevant to the size and quality of the residence and property as I am not on a fixed income. I would prefer to rent at first so as not to rush into any permanent decisions and to have the time to find that perfect place (area and property). I would like to fly down in June or July (flexible, once again) and to have a place to stay already reserved. Will pay deposit in advance (reasonable amount of deposit and in a reasonable time prior to arrival). If all works out, I plan to stay and seek permanent residence. If anyone is interested, please contact me by email at: tundra@safe-mail.net
I've been reading quite a lot about Panama and in particular, the Chiriqui Province and especially Boquete, Cerro Punta, Volcan, and the many places around the Volcano. I realize the information I have is probably a bit outdated. So, any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. If anyone can recommend either a good attorney or a person who helps U.S. residents to relocate, that would also be very much appreciated. Thanks and take care.

Hi Steve, my wife and I are coming to Boquete this Nov for 4-6 weeks and would like to find a small, clean, safe rental walking distance to town. Even a studio/efficiency would be fine. Cost is a factor as we are on a fixed income. We're at the other end of the spectrum from the gated community crowd. Thanks for anything you can offer.

My wife and I will be in Panama for the month of March. We would like to find a modest place anywhere between Boquete and David to call home for that month. Nothing fancy, just a clean place to stay. I am hoping to find a place $300 to $600 but would consider a bit more as long as it reflects the fair going rate.
We are looking into retiring in this area, and will doing a bit of exploring, as well as visiting friends in Panama. We are non-smokers - but don't care if you do : )
We will also rent a car for our stay and would appreciate suggestions regarding agencies.
It seems kind of awkward trying to get things accomplished via a blog, but I'm hoping for some input.
Thank you, Hal Lavers

My husband and I will be arriving in Boquete with Pensionado Visas in hand on July 1st (finally) and are looking to rent a 2 bedroom house. We enjoy living outside of town, away from the hustle and bustle. We have no pets and would like to pay between $300 and $600 a month. Tell us what you have and we can discuss price.
