Planning to go away during the rainy season?

Concerned about leaving your house unoccupied?

Do you have pets and/or plants which require love and heart-felt attention?

We intend to spend the next three or more months in the area of Boquete, Volcán, etc.. We are available for house-sitting and live-in pet care during that time.

I have a wide range of skills and qualities that make us excellent and desirable house-sitters (and caretakers of gardens, plants, and pets). We are of sober habits (no drugs, no smoking, no parties, seldom out at night, non-drinkers). I was raised in New Zealand with an ethic of leaving everything in a better condition that I find it.

I am an author, traditional Naturopath, avid organic gardner, and international lecturer/teacher. My Beloved is a teacher and practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine (with a Master's Degree in Neuro-immunology prior to leaving the field of science).

My spouse and I spent the past 9 months care-taking a beautiful house on a small island in the Bocas del Toro area. We are considering moving to The Boquete / Volcan area permanently, and managing the island cacao farm from a distance on behalf of the owner.

P.S.

For the sake of the house owner and ourselves, we would only consider a house-sitting assignment if the circumstances felt right for both parties. Certain things are important to us when considering a house sit:

- We enjoy nature and being situated in nature-rich environments (which is in part why we're considering this area to live long-term). Preferably the house would be in such an environment. 

- Easy access to a river is important, although not absolutely necessary.

- No mould in the house.

- House would need to be a non-smoking house.

- If it is a long term housesit (3+ months) we'd love to be able to grow vegetables somewhere if possible. Certainly a plus, and you'll have home-grown organic food when you return. Again, not absolutely necessary.
