Cool, Green and the best Coffee in the world

This Group is dedicated to assisting new arrivals to Panama. Those of us who are all settled in and have worked out all the issues with relocating should be willing to share our experience and assistance with new folks who have arrived or will soon arrive. We should take them in and assist them with getting established as we did. None of us got here alone so it’s now our chance to help the next new arrivals make a smooth transition. This assistance can help keep new arrivals out of trouble and adapt to Panamas unique way of life. This Group should serve as a list of available volunteers who are standing by to help.

Comment by Dudley Williams on December 14, 2012 at 3:16pm Hi my name is Dudley. I am thinking seriously about moving to Panama after a two week visit earlier in the year preceded by much head scratching.
I am a doctor of Biophysics and work for a well known S. CA pharmaceutical company. Downside is that the stress levels are extremely high. My wife and myself plus 6yr old son hope to transition to Panama over the next 12-18 months.
We have a number of crucial issues that I am sure face most new comers to the region. I could certainly do with good council!
I will be back in Panama in March 2013 with a view to rent car/house while I look for somewhere to build a longer term dwelling.
I intend to payback by providing as much of my personal skill set as I can to those who may need my unique skill sets.
PS: I am British by birth and speak pretty fluent French. I am leaning Spanish but intend to immerse myself as much as possible to lean both language and customs in Panama.
Sincerely: Dudley Williams MS DPhil
