Happy Halloween to ALL! Here is a KILLER Halloween Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ok, its Halloween and we need a homemade Treat! Why not this Delicious Sour Cream Pound Cake! Nothing spooky, just a real Treat! I’ll use my homemade Vanilla too! This is another simple recipe. just cream your butter and sugar well, add the eggs one at a time until incorporated and you can’t go wrong! This recipe can easily be doubled for double the amount, add chocolate chips for extra YUM!

2 sticks of Real Butter
3 Cups of Organic Unbleached Sugar  (any sugar will work)
1 Cup of Sour Cream
3/4 teaspoon of Baking Soda
3 Cups Organic Unbleached Flour  (Any AP Flour will work)
Pinch of salt
6 Eggs
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 Cup Chocolate Chips (optional)

Cream the Butter and the Sugar well! Add the Sour Cream & Vanilla until fully incorporated. Mix the Flour, Baking Soda & Salt together in a separate bowl. Now add the Eggs, one Egg at a time until fully incorporated. Now, Add the dry mix one cup at a time at medium speed if using a hand mixer. If using Chocolate Chips, coat with Flour first then fold into the Batter. Cook in long rectangular teflon Baking pans coated with a pan spray or even better, Earth Balance Shortening. Bake at 340 degrees for an hour and 20 minutes or so, check the traditional way by inserting a wood skewer and if it comes out clean, its done. Variations: add Cinnamon, Pumpkin, Orange Essence, Lemon Essence, Lemon Rind or anything that you might want inside your Sour Cream Pound Cake. Experiment and ENJOY!!
