Some other spots we really like to eat it in Bocas are Lily's, home of 'Lily's You're Killin'Me Man' salsa, and Lemon Grass.

Agreed Fran, somewhere like Chiriqui Mall would work much better. The Skanlati location has never been successful but they are friends with the owner.

If they (Laura and gringo husband) produce the same delicious food as they do in Bocas, people will love it.  But I seriously doubt they will have enough business to stay open in the location you describe, Keith.  I wish they would open a place closer to the main part of David. I hope I'm wrong... and that they don't stay open a while and then close because "nobody came to eat there".

WOW!  I also had the best authentic Mexican food a couple of months ago there...couldn't get enough!  I better increase my gas budget significantly if that food will be in David.  Any idea when?

No kidding!  An authentic Mexican restaurant called Gringos on a Caribbean island owned by a Panamanian gal named Laura. The food really is the best Mexican I've had in many years. Her and hubby are planning to take over and operate Skanlati on the north side of the PanAmerican highway between Pricesmart and the entrance to Boqueron.
