Profile Information

How are you involved in Boquete?
I live here
Take advantage of us and list what you are interested in doing in Boquete. This is a great way to meet like minded people.
I am a photographer and graphic/digital artist, working primarily in Photoshop (CS5), and more recently in LightRoom.

and http://www.flickr.com/photos/78345083@N00/

I do volunteer work (photos, graphics, websites, etc.) for Amigos de Animales, PetsWantHomes, Boquete Photo Club and Bid 4 Boquete.

I was born and raised in southern NM, studied art at UNM in Albuquerque, lived in Santa Fe for many years until moving to Boquete in 2006.

My passion is the welfare of all animals, and particularly dogs and elephants. My purpose in life is to do everything in my power to stop the rampant poaching of elephants worldwide... murdered to provide trinkets, doodads and ego-boosters primarily to the citizens of China.
At the present killing rate, elephants will be extinct in just a few years. My babies are at http://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/

We need some serious Mare Prayers, Fran.  I am so tired.  This is ridiculous. I have never seen a mare go this long, but the biggies tend to drag it out longer than any breed. My mare watch offer is long standing :) If not, I will post as soon as the blessed event arrives. Please... soon, Lucy.. so you can come and greet him and touch him all over and welcome little baby boy to the world. It's a boy- Boys are always late. Let it be TONIGHT!!

Fran:  I saw a store last June when I was in David about two blocks up above Daisy's that sold a lot of fishing gear. There were no Flies or streamers though. Wish I could remember the name of the store, but it had a lot of gear. Im back in  Calif at the moment or id find it for you. Perhaps getting a size 4 or size 6 hook and making your own fly?  When I fished Gatun lake thirty yrs ago almost weekly we would make our own lures and they would still bite.  Just a thought  Have a great trip. Knowledge

Posted on March 17, 2013 at 8:52am 1 Comment

Real wisdom is not the knowledge of everything, but the knowledge of which things in life are necessary, which are less necessary, and which are completely unnecessary to know. Among the most necessary knowledge is the knowledge of how to live well, that is, how to produce the least possible evil and the greatest goodness in one’s life. At present, people study useless sciences, but forget to study this, the most important knowledge. (Jean Jaques Rousseau)
