We are thinking of moving to Boquete, but we need to evaluate the cost of health care. Do we need health insurance in order to use the doctors and hospitals in Boquete and David?
What is the cost of doctors and hospitals there?
Any information that you can provide to me will be most appreciated.

there is Golf in boquete ,as far as I know at least 2 places, Valle Escondido (9 holes), , Cielo Paraiso (sp?) I think has 18...I dont play so I havent kept up.
gardening would be wonderful around Boquete...dont know abouut book club , but they have a nice new library...I dont know about Health care first hand , but hear its very good, but hospital is 30-40 minutes away in David...
My wife may not want to move ,but she has not visited Boquete , nor Panama yet...I`ve been 3 times...I would consider moving first because of climate, as retiring in Houston , is too hot, I do want to be outdoors....secondly , yes costs are better too....but my main reason would be the year round 'being out doors' possibliity

I see you`re up in the area of old New Sweden! one of my sisters is up in Darnestawn...anyway....re your question...I dont recall posting that , but could have....must be awhile back....and I do not recall where I got that info. I may have to go research it again ,but on top of my head,right now, I dont remember....
but this morning we here in Housrton have Boquete weather (wont last long I suspect), its great, nice cool sunny.
