The power adapter that came with them plugs into 110/120 volt. This converts down to 9v 200mA. It would be easy enough to get a 12 volt adapter though.

I agree with you, you may have to at least 50 miles away from Boquete.
Also, I suggest you look at land in 30 or 40 minutes above the town of Volcan or invest in some land in the new road that connect Volcan and Boquete that's looks like it is not polluted yet. Also aren't you concert about you breathing this polluted air yourself?
We have been ditoxing a lot of DDT, Fromaldahide, pestisides that are in the air in Boquete.
WE were thinking seriously moving from Florida to Boquete but we change our minds.

I like your idea of sustainability and healthy stuff the only thing that you are missing is that Boquete is polluted by fertilizers specially DDT which they use in coffee and orange farms.
