How are you involved in Boquete?
I want to live in Boquete
Take advantage of us and list what you are interested in doing in Boquete. This is a great way to meet like minded people.
My husband James and I are moving to Boquete, December 1, 2008.

We have a company named Destiny Retreats, taking people from North America to Central America. We now plan to extend these retreats to Panama, and further south in due course. Our retreats are formed to offer fun, adventure, personal development, revitalization through live foods, meditation, movement, yoga, dance, writing, voice work, massage, laughter and community. Each retreat is unique in that the participants co-create part of the retreat and give back to the community where they visit. This gives each participant a unique chance to make a difference as well as to rest, relax, chill out and just be.

We are excited to meet up with like minded people who wish to be involved in making these retreats happen and to live a sustainable and authentic life.

Both James and I are Life Coaches, Counsellors, Group Facilitators and Adventurers. We welcome the opportunity to hear from other like minded people.

We currently are staying about 40 minutes outside Boquete which is too far.
We have 1.5 years experience in house and pet sitting, with great references.

Thanks for getting back to me. As new residents of Boquete, we will have to know all the places to shop and how to avoid getting dinged for the Gringo type tax on things. Probably best to find ourselves a Panamanian friend to do some of the big ticket purchases for us. So tell us what you do with Destiny Retreats. I found Boquete from a person I met on line who took it upon himself to have a business where he brought people into Panama and found housing and lawyers and did all the basics for them, as well as arranging tours and good things to do as a tourist. He lived in Valle Escondido, Panama Bill Jones and his wife Pauline. Bill has since passed away on one of his trips to San Blas but I believe that Pauline still maintains a residence at Valle Escondido but mostly stays in San Blas now. So, are you folks no longer in Boquete? I love the Gulf Islands. My daughter has just moved to Victoria after many visits. She just loves it there. We used to take the kids to Saltspring and Galiano and Mudge and a bunch of places out there. We never really got to explore the west coast as much as we wanted to in our 27 years in Kelowna. Maybe next life. Looking forward to our stay in Boquete for however we choose to stay.......Tell us some Boquete stories. Cheers. Jim and Lesia Thompson

Hi Marise,

I'll be visiting Boquete from Janauary 18th thru 31st and would appreciate it if you could recommend a place to practice yoga in the area. It would be great to network with you and James especially since you have an interest in live foods. I belong to a live food potluck group in Chicago and always enjoy meeting other people who are into live foods.
