Pitti, (also known as Pitty) was the last name of my paternal grand-mother, and their own parents emigrated from Italy and settled in Boquete in the early 1800's. My paternal grand father emigrated from France either during the construction of the Panama Canal, or after Panama became independent from Colombia, and the little town of "El Frances" was named after him. As a child I lived there until age 7 or 8. I still have many relatives living there. (All my family from my father side is from Boquete, and from my mother side from Potrerillos. Currently, most of them live in Volcan, Guadalupe and Cerro Punta. Basically everybody with the last name Pitti, or Pitty, around the world is related to me.
I have always admire the beautiful land I grew up in. Just beautiful!!

I currently live in Orem, Utah. Beautiful!!!! I grew up in Boquete, and I have many family members in there.
Check this out, this is just amazing, and you just have to experience it in person.
Take a 45 minute car drive from David town on a regular, hot, 90 degree weather like day. (Leave your car windows open, if you can tolerate the heat) Head out to the little town of "Volcan", for example. Pay close attention to what is about to happen when you pass the town of "Bugaba" or also called "Concepcion". You will start to drive up a serious of hills, so you know the altitude is changing and you are heading towards the mountains, and suddenly it feels like you just opened the refrigerator door, and you can feel the cold breeze in the air hiting you in the face...Welcome to paradise!!!! You are now in the Rain Forests areas of Panama. Check out Bambito, Nueva Suiza, Cerro Punta, and Guadalupe towns, just peaceful, beautiful, healthy, and of course very inspiring places!!!!!

Most of the beaches are less than 2 hours away from Boquete or Volcan.
.You both will be happy living in there. Best time to visit is November through early May. (Summer season in Panama)

Our family dentist, (when I used to live in Panama) opened a private clinic in his home in Guadalupe, more than 20 years ago. This area has always been a tourist area, so there was always people visiting there, and because it was also a rural area, there were many people in need of his services, and he always did very well.

See you around, (Hey, I sent you a friend request!!!)

Hi Nedelka,
Thank you for the response.
We are planing on retiting but since we are in our early 40's, I know it won't last long. We will get the itch to work and I just wanted to know if there would be an opportunite for my husband to practice later on if he desires .
It sounds like you know the area well and have a lot of family and friends there.
What are your favorite places to live?
I'd like to be on the montains, and my husband prefers the beach. We both want a quiet place, safe, but not too far from civilization. We both want to be on the west side somewhere close to David. What do you think?

Hi Diana,

I think creativity is a great asset for anyone to have. With creativity you can resolve so many problems.I developed creativity out of necessity when I was growing up, and I continue to use it every second of my life. I think it is important for children, in this modern times, to learn and develop creativeness. l see many kids glu to their tv's and video games for hours and hours, (and they are very profesient at it) however, when a problem arises, many of them can't come up with ideas to try to resolve it.
Art also is very soothing and relaxing, and children need that.
I started to be interested in art, at the age of 6 years old. We lived in El Frances, Boquete. I still remember the beautiful fruit orchard my grandfather had, which we all called "El Sitio" it was a beautiful garden surrounded by all fruits you can imagen. I used to spent hours there, just enjoying the beauty of things. My teachers encouraged me to draw, and we used to go out on a lot of field trips, either to the river, or the near hills, and try to draw the birds and flowers there. (maybe that's something you could do with parents and their children)
I hope you are able to get a lot of people involved in what you are doing, for the good of the children, and the community.
I will be looking forward to meet you in person, the next time I visit Boquete.

"Un beso y un abrazo muy fuerte!"
