I want to live in Boquete
Take advantage of us and list what you are interested in doing in Boquete. This is a great way to meet like minded people.
My wife, Beverly, and I are interested in staying in Bouquete and enjoying the area for the months of December, January and February of this year. We do not yet have a place to stay but are looking for a house to rent. We will have a small well trained dog with us. We are looking for a place to possibly buy in the near future. An area with nice friendly people and local amenities.

Looking for a RENTAL,

My wife and I are still looking for a rental in or within safe walking distance to Boquete. We would like to find and secure a place as soon as possible for the months of December, January and February or even March if needed. We do have a small dog that will be traveling with us. We, like so many others, are wanting to experience the area in hope of buying in the near future. We hope to find a community with things to do and people to share these things with. I see that there is a community the… Continue

Hi Ron and Bev, glad to see you're on here so I can keep track of our thread and remember what we've talked about. We're coming down Novemberish for 4-6 weeks of getting the feel of Boquete and surrounding areas, including exploring the area between David and Boquete. If things look good, our plan would be to live down there maybe Nov-Mar and up here (Asheville, NC) the rest. Trick will be to short term lease our house here and find something to rent down there and have the whole thing make sense financially. Longer term would like to explore the possibility of buying or building a little place down there that we could rent out when up here.
Going to check out Taca to see about flights from the states to David via San Jose, CR and so avoid having to fly to PC then bus back to Boquete. They say taxis are real cheap down there so we'll probably try to get around by taxi/bus while there.
Do you still have property in Nicaragua? I backpacked down there a few years back and bought a small lot in San Juan del Sur, but have since sold it. Was that you in the photos with the stethoscope and doing the dental thing? I support a clinic in Nicaragua and imagine it looks something like those photos.
Let me know what you find out and I'll do the same. I'm going to request to add you to my friends list, ok?

Beverly and I have not found a place yet in Boquete or near by. Has any one stayed in David and traveled to Boquete and surrounding areas without any problems. We are finding it difficult to fine a place for only 3 months. Most want long term or short term committments. Any information??

Thanks for your response, Ron. My house construction started last October. It is supposed to be finished by the end of next month. The developer, Rolegio Henriquez is managing the construction for me. They are currently finishing the tile roof and will start on the tile floors soon. So far it is going well. I haven't had to hassle with anything. Considering that I haven't been there to see to anything, I am very lucky to be working with Rogelio. If you're in Boquete stop by to see the construction. My house is on lot C-1. You can actually locate it on their website www,boquetecountryclub.com. My first exposure to Central America was back in 1978 when I drove to Nicaragua to take a job at the American Nicaraguan School. I just noticed that my original post got mangled. I'll proof this one before I send. I'll be looking forward to meeting you and Beverly.

Hi Ron son and I live and Beverly. My son and I live in Maine right now until our house at Boquete Country Club is finished being built. Have you been to Boquete yet? There are a number of ways to find rental property. There's a forum at this site. Also check out boquete.org and the Bajareque Times online. Good luck.

We are coming from Oklahoma and it's icy winters. Panama's green forest and warm climate year round is very appealing. Beverly likes very much animals and gardening so the opportunities to do both anytime of the year sounds fun. Ron is intersted in music, spanish classes, learning new things and most of all Beverly.
