Once to visit and see where we would like to live, and just recently to put in our paper work for our pensionado visas. Depending on how long it will take to get our visas approved, will decide when we will move down.
We are very aquainted with the spanish life style. We lived in Spain for quite a few years. My wife Shellie lived there for 10 years, and I lived there for a total of 8. We decided to move down to Panama several months before we visited. We missed the life style we were use to in Spain, and wanted to get back to it. No other country offers the type of visa that Panama does, so it was a logical choice. Spain has become so expensive over the last few years since they converted to the euro, that we can't afford to live there, so our choice is Panama.
