She had a failing heart, then had a stroke and went blind on the very day that was husband was having major surgery in David, so I couldn't take her to David to a vet. My gardener suggested that Cuco could come to the house and take care of it. He came, and it was the most agonizing experience of my life. He first tranquilized her, she staggered about for about 20 minutes, then he gave the life-ending dose which also didn't take effect for another 5 to 10 minutes. This is ancient technology! His veterinary practices are way, way out of date. I'll never forgive him for the agony he put her (and me) through.

Samantha, do NOT use the local vet, Cuco. We had a very bad experience with him, too long to go into here. He is not well-trained. Amigos de Animales does not recommend him, either. After having visited numerous vets in the area, I highly recommend Happy Pet in David. Turn left off the Interamerican as though you were going to Hospital Chiriqui. Take the second road on the left; the clinic will be on your right. Dr. Samuel and Dra. Patrizie are the best in this area.
