Arlene Erfle said… Hi Suzanne...
We are from Alberta and have been in Boquete only 2 months. We prefer it to David simply because it is cooler. We don't need air conditioning here...we just open our windows and get a nice cool breeze through. We have many friends from Nfld..they are around Stephenville area....and we know many we worked with in Fort McMurray.... and we have been "screeched"!! Boquete is very beautiful and green and very nice people here......

Betsy said… Hi Suzanne, My husband and I are Canadians, and have been living near Boquete for the past 3 years. We lived in Costa Rica for 5 years before moving here. We live on acreage on the river, about half way between David and Boquete. The best of both climates. David can be very hot and humid and Boquete can be very cool and humid. There are many micro climates in Chiriqui, and it all depends on your lifestyle, as to which you would prefer. Coming from a chilly, wet coast BC climate, we prefer to be a little warmer and drier than Boquete, and a little cooler than David. Come on Down!!!

Boquete is my choice over David, for a place to live. Nice and cool on those summer nights, just like Newfoundland........e-mail me at panamajames@gmail.com and I can give you dozens of reasons why you would prefer Boquete over David. jT
Bona Foodie said… Welcome Suzanne. Another Canuck here. Drop me a note before you get here.
Keith Woolford said… Hi Suzanne, glad to hear you may be joining us. Origin is Toronto, but I lived in Costa Rica for ten years and I've been in or around Boquete for the last seven. If I thought there was a better place to live, I'd probably be there.
