As far as bringing your Corgi, if you are going on the same flight as the dog you can do the process yourself as far as getting the dog through customs and vet checked.

If you live in Bajo Boquete, you can get around without a car without any problems. You'll be close to all the services you'll need. Maximum 10-15 minutes walking all around town.

- I realize that you are interested in Boquete, but if you can't find what you need there, you might consider David. In David you will have no problem getting a taxi and the normal costs should be around $1.50, depending on how far you need to go. Normally, Internet connections are less of a problem in David and for Internet business work you are going to want a high speed connection.
To get a feeling of the David area feel free to check out my blog Chiriqui Chatter. From reading the blog, you should get a feeling for costs, and there are links to some of the major super Markets, which will show you food prices. Prices may be a little higher in the Romeros in Boquete.
I also have a ton of links related to Panama which may be of interest and photos throughout Chiriqui, including Boquete.
