Moving a Dog to Panama

I have an 8 year old dog. I am trying to wrestle with deciding to bring her to Panama or not. I am not sure how she would do with a long plane flight from Colorado and adapt in Panama.
But I would miss her terribly by leaving her behind. She is very needy and I am not sure I know anyone at home that I can leave her with.

Can anyone tell me what experiences they personally have had moving their animals?

Comment by Nanette and Kevin Witmer on April 19, 2012 at 5:10pm: Yes, I have been to Panama and Boquete and traveled around the country. My dog is a lab mix, short hair. She also is on thyroid medication. I am assuming that I can find a Vet there who I can continue to get the medication from.
