Las Ruinas Boquete is a new restaurant at the old Rancho Paisa site but under totally new administration. We just opened this Sunday the first of November. We have the NFL and many other sports events on our 2 plasma tv's. Come on in and the first beer is on the house! The grounds are a work in progress but we will have lots of rock walls (hence the name Las Ruinas) and a Mayan / Aztec theme. The Hamburgers are huge and the best you will find in Panama. We grill whole chickens, pork loin and baby back ribs over real wood (Nancy) every day, We also have fish specials cooked to order. Try the filet mignon churasco...its amazing! We promise you the the food and service is the best you will find anywhere. We have a swimming pool for you and your family to enjoy. We have the space to do parties, events and weddings and just about anything else. We plan to be the biggest attraction in Boquete.
There are 4 rooms available to rent and stay. Our Chef is a Certified Executive Chef and plans to join the community of great chefs that are already in Boquete. The bar will be open and with out a doubt we will have the best Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri in Panama. Smoothies will always be available and always all natural! Soon we will have many special nights and events. They will all be announced here. We are located just past the road to Caldera on the right hand side as you are driving into Boquete. (the old Rancho Paisa site) We hope to see all of you real soon....
We will be closed on Mondays......we need some rest!
Just in front of Brisas Boquetena, The Big Rancho with the pool on the left hand side as you are leaving Boquete and driving towards David

We had dinner at Las Ruinas last night. I too was going to take a picture of my plate. Sadly, I was too excited and I dug right in. Craig "claims" that he serves large portions. I had no problem clearing my plate...plus dessert...plus a beer, pina colada, and a margarita. ( I had to sample everything to give a proper review). Ooff!! I forgot to mention the yummy scrumptious appetizer. I would have to say that the portion was just right. (Nevermind that my husband that is twice my size couldn't finish his portion. He did try!! ) The service was wonderful, the food was fantastic (ribs) and the atmosphere is perfect (U.S football). We will def. return and hope that others will enjoy the food here as much as we did. Best bar-b-que that we have had in a while!!! My only dilemma...what will I order next time??

Please tell us more about the Tuesday morning meetings. We would love to send some food and coupons for a free beer!!
A friend and I ate there a few evenings ago. We both had the ribs, which were delicious! I meant to photograph my meal, but it disappeared too quickly.
The new owners are very personable and professional, ready to run a restaurant the RIGHT way. I hope they will set up a table at the Tuesday morning meetings and hand out some "free drink" coupons just to get people acquainted with their new business. A little promotion goes a long way here, ESPECIALLY if it is accompanied by all that is promoted!
