Ride to Bocas

Linda, I don't need a ride, as we don't live there yet. We're moving to Alto Boquete next summer, but will be down for a visit this coming December, to start my pensionado application process.
We are both scuba divers and we want to visit Bocas, while we are there, but have never spoken to anyone who has actuall made that drive. Was wondering if you could offer some local insight to the trip. What route do you take and what noteworthy information could you share with me regarding hazards, particular sights to see and fuel availability? Anything you could share would be greatly appreciated.

We have riders for the return. You can take the bus back from Almirante - they do run regularly. Sorry. But we do go to Bocas twice a month - maybe sometime in June can suit you if you prefer a round trip in a car.
