Tasers in Panama?

Are tasers allowed entry into Panama without a license and, if so, can they be carried without a license?

I checked the TSA Website and it says stun guns and shocking devices can be sent in checked baggage.

P.S.  Saw a big flashlight that is also a stun gun. To  Heavy duty for me, more for a man size .Good for hitting with baton. I think its easier for a women to carry a stun gun in her hand while out, as bad guys can come from behind with arm around throat. If you stun them it will not get you. Strange but true. The longer you touch them the worse for them. Plenty of time to get away. Or use it again on their buddys.

I called a local Self Defense gun shop in Florida.    He said NO!     Law says no Tazers/Lasers & No  Pepper Spray, Bear spray, Mace. allowed on any Airlines. You can purchase Stun Guns in PC.  So called local sheriff, his best advice: Ask a Local Lawyer what laws are & Consquences in that country.  Laws change !  Who knows a good attorney in Boquete?  Maybe we can get a true ans. I'm bringing my Stun Gun in checked baggage.

OK.    What about a STUN GUN?  Mine looks like a mans electric shaver type, called a Small Fry. & 7,500,000 volts. Must touch the person with it. It has a wrist strap so if its pulled from your hand the strap comes out & renders it useless so it cannot be turned on you. IF you can get it back & insert the wrist pin again, it will work. Gun shop here in Stuart, Fl( North of Palm Beach) $60. Can you buy items on Amazon,etc. & have them sent like you can in the states?  Weapons aside.

Not sure what is allowed, as we were given different stories.  We did bring them in in both suitcase and container in the past five plus months.  Wish I could be of more help.  I did keep the taser and cartridges in different suitcases, so they did not appear armed, and did not, of course, attempt to carry them on (dah)/  You can get a little boat horn here and support the local anti=crime group.  Wasp spray can be hard to find but you can find it.  I don't know how it would ship, but I would ask and ship some if I could.  The container, in a container would be best, it case the pressure sets it off.

Thank you, Abby.  My laser is activated here and I hope I never have to use it but I will, in a heartbeat, if I have to.    Should I bring the wasp sprat and boat horn with me?  Will TSA allow these to be shipped in a suitcase or put them in the container?

One problem is that the U.S. will no longer let you take one into Panama.  You still can, just put it in your luggage.  It is very strange, be sure that you get it activated in the U.S., as the U.S. will block you once you are here, in terms of putting in your number (in the taser) to activate it.  We have brought three in during the year, and later was told by the taser co. that we should not have shipped it.  They are legal in Panama and can be carried here.  If it does not work though, it will not do you much good.  Lucky for us, my husband was still in the states and could do it from there.  I had one with me that worked..  Don't forget wasp spray, etc, and a boat horn, which you can buy ere.  Good to be thinking ahead.
