Supply and demand. People who want what they want regardless of consequences - with the money to do so - and people willing to meet that demand with any means - so what happens when you do not get the designer dog you wanted? Not like you can return for a refund.

When they do end up with unexpected temperaments - many owners do not know proper techniques - so the dog then becomes physically and emotionally abused.

Thanks, I enjoy your posts even though the subject sometimes makes my heart sad and emotions turn to anger (against the human)

Yes you are right. You never know what you are going to get with a Labradoodle. They are all advertised as being hypoallergenic however I have had Doodles in my classes that have left mounds of hair behind. Unfortunately the same goes with temperament. I have also had problems with aggression. Not common, but again you never know.

I have seen 'designer' dogs here in the USA -such as crossing a Labrador with a poodle - Labradoodle- so you get a high strung lab? In addition to a large curly dog???

I understand that many current breeds have been 'designed' over the years/centuries but my concern today is that puppy mills are increasing and anyone is breeding these designer dogs with bad outcomes.
