Yesterday I posted a link with information regarding the Coronavirus. Apparently, it was deleted based upon a decision by Mr. Taylor that only acceptable to him/them would be allowed. I suspect that the information on the link was never read, but only the headline. If it were read by Mr. Taylor then he would have known that many statements and links in the article would support the information such as ABC News, statements by Adm. Brett Giroir, assistant secretary for health at the Department of Health and Human Services, World Health Organization Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Situation Map, statistics from the National Safety Council, World Health Organization Data as reported by national authorities, March 2020 Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation Report 46, Reports from the World Health Organization, reports from the China Center for Disease Control, an article published in New England Journal of Medicine, statements from Tom Frieden, former director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Fox News, and statements by Dr. Abu Sharkaway -- an infectious disease expert in Toronto.
Apparently, my post of a link to an article, free to make a personal decision to read or not, was considered “…rumors, fake news, friend of a friend, political opinions, left or right, or your own factless opinions.” Mr. Taylor does not want ning to become “a toxic Facebook of fake news.” I guess he thinks that Facebook is all fake news. He does though, feel some need to supervisor us adults with his censorship.

It is his site. He can do what he wants.
Hello Thomas, What I was trying to stop, was what I have been seeing on facebook, LIke "Chiriqui Province closes its border with Costa Rica" which was then re broadcasesd on CNN espanol. Then a picture of a line up on a highway, with the caption "Gas stations run out of gas in Panama" "The country is sold out of toilet Paper" 90% of the news you are seeing on news networks and Facebook, is slanted or fake.
Sorry if you feel it is cencership, but Oscar and I as the owners of Ning, and as the two guys that put our own money into ning every month to cover expenses, and volenteer our time producting videos for the different Boquete Charities, we have every right to allow or disallow any content we wnat, to make Ning the place we want it to become.
Why not make ning about, "lots of toilet paper at Baru and Romero", renturants offering drive thru picks and deliveries, "Lets find a way to support our business and their employees as we work through this"
We have no moderators on Ning, so by allowing news only from the official health sites and their statements, keeps it real.
Excuse the spelling, I am on my phone.
