Yes, the place is across the street from Taboo Bar. We drop off, bottles, plastic, cardboard, tetra boxes, cans and pretty much anything else that can be recycled. I have even dropped off plastic bags. They seem to take everything and keep the place clean and organized.
Clear plastic and #2 plastic. Clear glass, not colored, though I do see green and brown glass left there. Maybe they do take it.
Bonnie, there is definitely a recycling center. It is across from La Posada/Delicious de Andes, up the road past the church. I have been taking stuff there ever since the recycle center closed. They also take pop cans, tin cans (like for cat food and soup), and cardboard and paper. They buy scrap metal and recycle batteries.
Trish, so far as I know, there is no recycling center in Boquete since ReAL shut down. If there is, I hope someone will enlighten both of us.
I save my cans for my neighbor's children, whose school collects them and uses the recycling money for educational purposes. I assume the schools are taking them to David, but, again, I don't know.

There was a second place that is somewhat across the road from the brew pub. I dropped off a car battery with them about six months ago. Not sure if it is still operating though.

Thanks, folks. I knew about that place, but I thought they only took metals and batteries.
I encourage everyone to find out if there are children in your neighborhood who could take some recyclables to benefit their schools.

They are very much in business.
