(Social and Networking Group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Friends)
The group usually meets at Manzar & Terry’s home, Casa de Montaña Bed & Breakfast, in Boquete, on 3rd Sunday of each month from 2-5 PM or at someone else's home around Boquete. In addition to the monthly meetings, social outings to fun locations are scheduled from time to time! Here are some initial goals of the group but these goals will evolve over time.
- Provide a safe and accepting venue for social & networking for LGBT individuals as well as their family and friends
- Provide support, as needed, when issues related to LGBT status arise
- Develop, share and regularly update a list of LGBT-friendly businesses and service providers for the Chiriqui province
- To serve as a resource for LGBT visitors to the area as well as people contemplating a potential move to the Chiriqui province

Directions: Once you arrive in downtown Boquete from Alto Boquete, go through town to the far end. At La Posada Restaurant take the main road going up the hill as it curves to the left. We are located exactly one kilometer up the street (6 houses past Café Ruiz) on the right hand side of the road. Parking is available in our private parking lot as well as the grassy area across the street.

I'm a retired gringa woman, with a small well-behaved dog, currently living in Costa Rica. Does anyone know of a small house for rent close to Boquete? I'm moving to that area in mid-August.

Congratulations Manzar & Terry! I love how you've stepped up to create this group and fill a gap in support services. A couple of months ago I had an enquiry from a potential client who wanted to visit this area. She had asked how LGBT people are received here in Boquete. I had replied saying I felt they are accepted here. I feel so much better to now follow up and say there are resources like your group! I love and respect you and your leadership... You guys rock!
I didn't see any mention of refreshments....
