How are you involved in Boquete?
I visit a lot
What Attracts you to Boquete?
This may sound materialistic but i do not find any information on what would be the things, that we all use on a daily basis in the house and garden, which we should NOT bring to Panama as household goods via ship, as they sell them there. Same brand or quality. If I ship and find they have the stuff there it will be a waste. If I don't a regret. Any comments?

I'm contacting the Texas contingency for Friends so I will feel like I know someone when I get down there. So far it's Leslie Landreth, Bjorn Sefeldt (also from Houston), Sovereign Lady and mary e white. Also Claudia Harkins. I just happened to know Claudia since about the 7th grade through The University of Texas. She and fiancé Les Aron will be down maybe as soon as July. I'd like to be down there tomorrow, but likely I can't get there until late January or February. I'd really like to stay for more than 6 months, but I still am confused about how to do that with having to leave (as in cross the border to Costa Rica) either by 90 days, or 180 days depending on who you talk to.
A plane ticket needs to be round trip? For Costa Rica, one may have an out bound bus ticket, but I can't see that would suffice for Panama.
I am still trying to gather as much information as possible. I'm a little adventurous, but a little reserved too. Claudia and Les are up to the Colon to Colombia ferry trip adventure once it gets going. Going with someone else, I think it would be interesting.
My only Central America venture was last August to Costa Rica. I really liked it, and was considering a long trip on return. But then I started looking at Boquete, and you, from Houston will appreciate this--I looked at the mild weather year-round. Selling point numero uno in a big way. A lower cost of living, and enough to do so not to get bored.
However, my routine likely will include a lot of cafe and coffee house sitting in a wifi zone. To a lot of people, that sounds boring. In a tourist area like Boquete, I likely will find people to talk to.
Are you moving to Boquete? My first visit won't be considered a move. I think I will like it a lot, but until one really tries an area out, it's hard to say.
Didn't mean to write so much.
Hope to have you as a friend, fellow Texan. We can always start off, "sure is hot, and I wish I was in Boquete."
