How are you involved in Boquete?

What Attracts you to Boquete?
My wife and I are interested in visiting Boquete with the idea of a possible move within the next few years. She is a retired pharmacist and I retired from law enforcement and a printing business. Initiially we want to investigate setting up a corporation and opening a CD account and looking at properties in the Boquete area. Our interest include gardening, flora and fauna, fishing & recreational flying and (God help me) it looks as though GOLF may be an addition............?!?
You agree to never spam on Boquete Ning?

I have friends named Casey and Sue Koehler who live in Boquete at Hacienda Los Molinos. When they moved from Florida they brought two small dogs over and Case might be able to answer your question. He is sort-of the honorary mayor of Boquete. Their email address is: panamacase@yahoo.com
Best,
Dave
Don't know what your interest/plan entails with regard to property, but I have the lower 1 hectar of our lot for sale. We're 17km from downtown Boquete, elevation 2600 ft, right next door to Cielo Paraiso, where it's a little warmer and drier than Boquete, proper. 4 or 5 houses on the ground now in neighborhood and a couple more planned, from what I hear. Great sunsets and when the weather is clear, a view over David to the Pacific islands.
Let me know if you have any interest in raw land like that where we can build our own casitas.

The paperwork (as you are probably aware) is also a pain in the rear-gear. EVERY TIME the animal comes into Panama, you have to jump through the hoops, paperwork signed by the Panamanian consolate, veterinary certifications from a local vet no more than 10 days old by the day of entry, etc. Inconvenient is the nicest word I can think of for it. Doing it several times a year? Too much headache for my taste. Once or twice would be enough to make me a loonietoon........but, that's just me.
