How are you involved in Boquete?
I visit a lot
What Attracts you to Boquete?
I would like to live in Panama, but have heard about bad people who are not honest - like a copy of a blog below. Is this to expect in Boquete? How could I protect myself? The new owners of the Paradise Garden - read this example: http://www.hablayapanama.com/blog/2010/10/please-continue-the-wildlife-rescue-release-mission/?utm_source=facebook.com%2Fhablaya&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=paradise-gardens 1 Response to “Please Continue the Wildlife Rescue & Release Mission in Boquete” 1. Paul & Jenny Saban says: March 14, 2011 at 4:37 pm We have just picked this up although we do try to keep abreast of developments there. Your reference to the new owners is misguided. The Schumanns have yet to pay for the property and we are pursuing them through the courts. The deposit, which is still with the Land registry is all that has been paid and they are disputing the balance – in short, trying to steal the property for only half of the price that was agreed in the contract. When we agreed to sell it to them, they made a lot of promises with regard to the gardens and contact with us. From the day they signed they have refused all contact, refused to give us our personal belongings and furniture, sold off animals and birds that were not theirs and in short, broken every promise that they made. We had told them of our desire to start another P.G. in the Far East but to date, we are unable to leave the U>K> As for the state of PG. When we left it was in very good order and we used our pensions to build everything. The visitors donations, for the main part, provided the income for the upkeep of the animals etc. The Schumanns are inveterate liars and I doubt very much that what they have said bears any relation to the truth. We have waited until now to make this public because of the Court Action but now the gloves are off. Our friend Roy Knight has been acting as our ‘agent’ all this time and so we are in very regular contact with him, but no-one else, sadly. Our wish for the health and welfare of the remaining animals and birds as well as those which are in desperate need of help is uppermost in our minds every day and we wish you every success in your mission. If you can use these facts in any way to further your cause, you may do so. Good Luck Paul and Jenny Saban Best regards, Karin Loeprich

Hello Karin, I know exactly what you mean about my very good friend Roy Knight. He's a super generous guy....we had some fun in Cyprus a few years ago, when he was living in Souni, although I lost contact with him....which is a great shame as I still owe him a BIG favour. Hope he's well? Peddra.
